Sphingolipids in HDL – Potential markers for adaptation to pregnancy?
نویسندگان
چکیده
Plasma high density lipoprotein (HDL) exhibits many functions that render it an effective endothelial protective agent and may underlie its potential role in protecting the maternal vascular endothelium during pregnancy. In non-pregnant individuals, HDL lipidome is altered metabolic disease compared to healthy individuals linked reduced cholesterol efflux, effect can be reversed by lifestyle management. Specific sphingolipids such as sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) have been shown mediate vaso-dilatory effects of plasma via interaction with nitric oxide synthase pathway. This review describes relationship between function pregnancy details how this lost pre-eclampsia, a disorder associated widespread dysfunction. Evidence for sphingolipids, particular S1P ceramide, cardiovascular pre-eclampsia discussed. Available data suggest HDL-S1P HDL-ceramide protection but not preeclampsia. thus are importance adaptation

Using RAPD markers potential to identify heritability for growth in Fenneropenaeus indicus
Sampling was done using 90 post larvae which were produced by reproduction of some broodstocks of Fenneropenaeus indicus in one day and reared in the same situation for 4 months. Samples were divided into 3 groups: high, medium and low growth (based on weight and length). Genomic DNA was extracted from muscle tissue using the phenol-chloroform method. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was car...

متن کاملVascular sphingolipids in physiological and pathological adaptation.
Sphingolipids (SLs) are compounds containing a long-chain fatty alcohol amine called sphingosine which exists in cellular membranes, cytoplasm, nucleus, interstitial fluid, blood and lymphatic circulation. SLs act as essential constituents of membranes of eukaryotic cells, so the seesaw of SLs will lead to structural alteration of membranes instigating cellular functional change. SLs also act a...

Sphingolipids: A Potential Molecular Approach to Treat Allergic Inflammation
Allergic inflammation is an immune response to foreign antigens, which begins within minutes of exposure to the allergen followed by a late phase leading to chronic inflammation. Prolonged allergic inflammation manifests in diseases such as urticaria and rhino-conjunctivitis, as well as chronic asthma and life-threatening anaphylaxis. The prevalence of allergic diseases is profound with 25% of ...
